Yes, it is known as "post-coital depression" and affects a lot of people. It is that feeling that is why many religions talk about conserving sex, because they felt that people lose energy. Taoism especially focusses on that. Whether or not you believe in energy stuff, you should do what feels right for you -- if you get depressed afterwards, only have sex when you have high energy and make sure you do something to renew yourself afterwards.

sometimes both parties just need a second to catch their breathe. if you think there's more to it than that, why don't you just ask, or say something to break the silence while at the same time addressing the issue. whatever you do, don't let the ackward silence go by.
