It was called minced meat and potatoes. Minced hamburger with onions, gravy and mashed potatoes. I just get the heave-hoes thinking about that meal.

all of it, she cannot cook to save her life. everything is either way overdone, or way underdone. she doesn't cook a roast, she cremates it! and yes, we had to eat all of it, or she would get very defensive and narky. it is the same to this day, and i have not lived with her for 6 years!

One day, she bought this vertical rottiserie thing, it's supposed to make your roast chicken healthier by letting all the fat drip into a little dish at the bottom. so while we're eating our "roast chicken" she brings this dish over, and says "see, look at all the fat you save!" like it was perfectly acceptable to disgust people with such things while they're eating. it just put us right off the rest of the 'meal'. seriously, we just couldn't force ourselves to eat. we got mcdonald's on the way home, which was a hell of a lot nicer than the s h i t she serves up, and in all liklihood it was healthier too.

god, doesn't she realise there's kids out there in the world starving, and here she is just wasting food.

I hated those hot dogs with the cheese on the inside. She made me eat one once and after I threw up on her that was the end of that.

I was only 5, but I knew what I liked and figured out how to get out of eating what I didn't like.

Beef tongue was probably the worst. I refuse to taste a food that could taste me back.

The other thing was trout, cooked in the skin. I took one look at the scales, the eyes, the fish head...and went..."oh I don't f&cking think so!"

And no, she didn't MAKE me eat it.

it wasn't that it was bad...but i remember i was already in high school and was so tired of drinking hot chocolate every single morning that i would spill it on the drain when mom's not looking. she would always force me to drink it, to the extent that she'd follow me outside the house with it and wouldn't let me leave until i've finished all of it.

guess what, i still drink hot choco every morning now. acquired taste perhaps.

I ate mostly rice all my life, as I lived in a certain area of China because my mother had moved there.

Her homemade wheat bread... (shudders). There was no flavor at all in that thing! Plus it was hard and chewy. (shudders again). She forced me to eat it cause it was healthy.
