Ugh, I know how annoying that is. In my experience, there's not much you can do in terms of changing other people's behavior. Personally, I hate noise. In the past, I've moved because of it. I would suggest wearing ear plugs - and not handling the situation in a way that causes hard feelings. You don't want them stomping louder to spite you.

Nothing u can do except move out ASAP or when ur lease is over. They have as much right to walk in their apt as u have to listen to their stomping within legal hours of the day. After legal hours it is up to the authorities and ur landlord. Good luck, save up and but ur own home and that eliminates noisy neighbors above or below u, the problem could be noisy neighbors near u on either side.

Complain in a non emotional manner to the leasing office and see if it helps. I have an Autistic daughter and had to move because the guy above us played the Violin at all hours and invited his music buddies over alot, the guys below us were single military so they partied alot and I just found if I went to the office calmly it did help a bit, but in the end I had to move

So did i once, Heres what i did, I bought a 10 inch subwoofer and screwed it directly to the ceiling in the room I estimated was their bedroom. I then hooked it up to a 150 watt amp conected to my computers sound card, and downloaded the most off the wall sounds i could find, and when they would stomp, I would pump up the volume with car crashes, UFOS, Cattle Stampede...etc...It worked

if talking to the land lord or calling the police doesnt work wait til they are in bed asleep and take a broom and beat the ceiling every few minutes believe me they will get the message my mom had that problem it didnt take but about thirty mionutes they came downstairs and asked what the problem was i explained to them that as long as they keep stomping like they are then i will be there every day to annoy them they never did it again

Pound on ceiling really hard with a broomstick or something
when they start doing it. When I had a downstairs apt, it got my neighbors to stop.

Once I had to call my landlord and complain when I was in another apartment. That helped a lot.

Get a broom and bang on the ceiling to show them how annoying it can be to have to listen to other peoples noises. If it gets worse, file a noise complaint with your super or the police. After 3 reports to the police, they can be fined. That'll teach em.

I would call the management.. And when it is going on call the police and make a complaint.. you can remain anonymous. I have the same problem but mine are below me.. strange i know.. but they every friday and saturday are always slamming stuff and really.. at times it's scary..

Either file a complaint with your apartment manager, or if they aren't there call the police.
