Actually it depends on what you need it for. Concealer is to cover any blemishes or discoloration spots on the skin. Foundation comes in different types of coverage and it goes all over the face. Powder is very light coverage. They also have foundation in powder form.

If you have great skin, a sheer powder will be sufficient. If you have blemishes or discoloration, you will need concealer, foundation, and set it with powder (it may be really heavy depending on the product)

What I found that was great is Bare Essentuals. It is a powder foundation but it's made from minerals that's really good for your face (you can even sleep in it). It is made for all types of coverage and it is virtually weightless on your face. They have a whole line of products that you can try and they even have starter kits. Actually, I think you need concealer and foundation. I like Maybelline's mousse foundation. A lot of people think you're supposed to put the concealer on first but actually put the foundation on first and then concealer. That way it will actually be concealing. If you're going to the neighborhood drugstore, for African American women, especially darker skins, I suggest Hip products by Loreal or Mousse Foundation by Maybelline.

If you can spend a little more MAC cosemetics.

Arbonne has a great powder foundation with an SPF of 15. You get your foundation, powder and moisturizer all in one! You shouldn't need a concealer unless you are trying to hide blemishes.

Well concealer is usually always used first just to cover up any blemishes or dark spots. But with powder vs. foundation, it all depends of the look you are trying to acheive. I love Bare Escentuals, it is a loose mineral powder..It gives such a flawless finish and it leaves your skin feeling creamy and not cakey or powdery..You can even fall asleep in it and it won't clog your pores..I would def. go with Bare Escentuals.. It may be kind of pricey but it's worth it..

depends what your skin is like. I just use foundation, but I only have a few pimples and slight redness. But if you, have dark circles and prominent blemishes you will need a concealer and a foundation.
Always use powdwer to set your make up..even if its only a light dusting.
BEST BRAND: Clinique of course..they have a type of foundation for every skin type

foundation- it has moister and looks alot smoother, powder does not stay on long , after applying a good face cream - oil of olay is best apply some loreal real never fail make up - it comes in a small bottle with a red top pump - only use a small amount

I use 2 in 1 its a liquid makeup that sets as a powder. What kind of makeup u want to use really depends on your skin. If you have bad acne u want better coverage.

Bare Minerals works great on all kinds of skin. If you have oily skin, stick with a powder. If you have dryer skin, stick with a cream foundation. Personally, bare minerals works great and is good for your skin.
