what do you call it when you have a cyst over your ovaries i know it starts with a P its poly something i'm not sure

polyp. it's any internal growth on an organ that's not cancerous (you can get a polyp on your ovaary, colon, vocal cords, etc.)

Polycystic ovarian syndrome involves the ovaries having many small cysts. You do not need to have PCOS to have a cyst, however.

You're probably thinking polycystic something. I can tell you from personal experience that a burst cyst on the ovary is very painful.

Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS), but these are many cyst. This can affect many different things in the body.
