I thought i would treat my three year old to a trip to see santa claus the musical at the liverpool empire.I phoned to booked tickets to be told that there were 2 seats with restricted view (i.e-post in the way!)for£35.00 or 2 seats in the stalls for £52.00. do you think thats a bit much for one adult and a 3 year old or do you think i'm being a tight ****!

Not tight just sensible. That cash could go towards making Christmas Day itself even more fantastic for the little one or just make it easier to keep food on the table till January's pay. It's the longest month of the year. The fact you were going to go shows you are a good parent and I'm sure at 3 I'd rather have had more parcels or see Santa in a Grotto where I could talk to him/sit on knee etc-good luck and Merry Christmas.

Having been to the Liverpool Empire many times over the years, yes it is too much to pay. Unless they've cleaned it up, modernised it and put in new seating. But I wouldn't bother taking a young one till they were about 5 because the small people always get the biggest person in front of them.

It depends on how much you want to go and how good it is. Don't bother at all with restricted view - it will be rubbish and a waste of time so decide either to pay for the full price ones or go see something else cheaper if the show isn't worth the money.

That is expensive, and for a three year old he'd probably enjoy a trip to see santa in your local shopping centre. At least then he'll get to see santa close up and get a present

Far too much to spend for a three year old - wait til the kid is older and can appreciate it (it sounds like a full length play).

Maybe a panto, or a trip to a grotto would suffice!

i think it's a lot because he/she's not going to remember it. my parents always tell me of all these awesome things they took me to when i was little, but i dont remember any of it so it doesnt really mean much to me. rent Polar Express. that is THE BEST christmas movie for kids. i love itt it's the cutest thing it even made me tear a little ;) but i'm also in love with christmas.
