First, there is no MgCl. You must mean MgCl2.

Anyways, this will not lead to a reaction because Cu is not more reactive than Mg. So nothing will happen.

it's single displacement reaction
Cu has a weeker eletron negativity
Cu+ MgCl2>> nothing happens
