My husband and I are both young and under 25 years old. My period is supposed to begin on the 22nd of December. Usually, my typical PMS week consists of lots of crying, slightly tender breasts, and cramping begins when I start to bleed.

No period yet, obviously.. We had unprotected sex from November 31st- December 7th. My ovulation days were definitely amongst those. Right now I'm feeling exhausted, and have very frequent cramping. Slight nausea now and then, also. My period isn't supposed to come for almost another week and a half and I've had these feelings for the past couple days...

I know I need to wait to take a test to find out for sure. But I'm really wondering if I might be pregnant? I don't want to get my hopes up and I know none of you know for sure. However, I'd really love some opinions... Thank you! :)

Well, there are no pregnancy symptoms that are ANY different from PMS symptoms, and you can change the severity and develop new ones out of the blue.

That said, I got all sorts of crazy pregnancy symptoms with every period... and when I got pregnant, it was totally different.

I PMS'd (or so i thought) for two weeks (not two days, as usual) before i got my period. I didnt have ANY normal symptoms (swollen breasts, mood swings, nausia...) all I had was sore boobs, and cramping for weeks.

I'd say theres an excellent chance you're pregnant, especially since you're trying.

You need to wait. It won't tell you yet. : (

If December 7 is the last possible ovulation day, test on the 26th. Yeah, that's a long time to wait and even longer than your period's first late day ... but if you conceived on the 7th, and test on the day your period's due, it might not show yet. Simply because it needs sometimes up to 12 days to implant and then a couple more to produce enough hCG.

I follow that rule now instead of testing on the day my period's due. It causes a lot less heartache, but might not be for someone impatient. I hate testing over and over, wondering why my period's late. So I wait and test once.

However, since you're sure about the ovulation date, you can test 12-14 days after ovulation and be reasonably sure of the results. So that would be the 20th. But the longer you wait the surer you are. If you hate BFNs as much as I do, you might want to do it that way.

Don't get stress cause that won't help. Right now the best thing you can do is WAIT. Wait until one or two days after your period is due and get a pregnancy test. It seems that you have got symptoms and if you have sex during your ovulation time then chances are very high

i would wait about a week and set up a doctors appointment...or you could buy a pregnancy test. i recommend a doctors appointment though. then you would know for sure and there would be no room for doubt. =) good luck!
