used for: identifying whether a particular person has a marker that is associated with a particular disease

moral/ethical issues: if you find out you have a greater chance for a particular disease, what do you do with that information

personally, i think more info is better than less and no one has the right to tell you what you can or cannot do with your own body... so, no, there is nothing wrong with it.
