I am in the middle of the country and can not get DSL. So I bought the new Cingular G3 wireless card. I have a laptop but would love to run the wireless card off my new desktop and then set up wireless in my house so I can run numerous computers. Use the Desktop as my hub. I travel alot and if I take the wireless with me my wife will not be able to connect to the internet. Help is there an adaptor that I can buy to plug it into my desktop?

Sprint makes a wireless Internet card that connects via the computer's USB port. This means you can install it on your home computer, use it at home, and unplug it, attach it to your laptop, and use it wherever you go.

Also, in most cities, Sprint's card works on the EVDO rev 2 standard, which is faster than broadband speeds, and suitable for streaming video, downloading music, and online games that require a lot of bandwidth.

Cingular's wireless Internet is weak...

Why not try wireless web. Its a little expensive but will get you online when no other means are available like cable or dsl or dialup

Just buy a USB wireless adapter. Why waste money of a PCMCIA to PC adapter. More work, you have to install the PC card configure it and hope it works. USB, simple, plug and play. SIMPLE!

sure. you may get a PCMCIA USB adapter so as that the cardboard plugs into the adapter and the adapter plugs into your usb port on the laptop. yet another selection is there could properly be an adapter which you will put in purely like a disk force or the like.

PCI to PCMCIA adapter, something like that should work out. Make sure your card will fit in it before you buy.
