So i am a week late for my period, i am not feeling like I am going to get my period other than I am very bloated, craving strange food and my boobs are kind of sore. Anyway I took a HPT last night but was so tired after I 1 min it said neg so I went to sleep. Woke up today and it was still on my counter and was a very dark positive. So i took another one this afternoon and got a very faint positive. Is it true that I am pregnant? or should I wait a few days and test again

You shouldn't read a pregnancy test after so many mins it says how long in the directions. But if you took one and it has a faint line you are probably pregnant. I took 4 all together and were all faint lines, I am now 34 weeks pregnant! Good luck!

Anything that shows up after 10 minutes is called an evaporation line.

But since you say it was a very bold positive then maybe you are pregnant cause an evap line is usually gray or just an endent (line)

If you got a faint positive today within the 10 minute mark then i would say you are pregnant. Maybe you should retest in the morning using first morning urine as it contains the highest levels of the pregnancy hormone hcg.

The positive line is really faint. Is this okay? An HPT tells you exactly one thing: your urine either has detectable pregnancy hormone in it, or it doesn't. The darkness or lightness of a line doesn't mean much. Generally speaking, a very light line can mean there is a small amount of hCG in your urine, and a very dark line can mean there is a larger amount of hCG in your urine. This is why you may get a faint positive at 10 DPO but a darker positive at 18 DPO. However, this is not always true. Tests are all different, and even tests in the same box may differ in sensitivity. Comparing light/dark lines will just drive you nuts. If you see a line in the "results" window, you're preg!

I'd wait a day or so and take another test. You probably are pregnant but you aren't supposed to "read" the results after a certain time frame of taking the test.

However, I had a very faint positive on my first positive test and actually ended up taking another that afternoon and it was much darker...the first test was also much darker.

Good luck! Hopefully this is it for you!

You should throw away the first test, never read them after 10 minutes. As far as the second test, a faint positive usually means a positive. If in doubt call the 1-800 number on the insert, and they can tell you if a faint means positive. Otherwise, buy a new test, take it first thing in the morning and go from there. Best wishes!

I would definitely call the doctor and go for a blood test, however you can be pretty sure you are. Because of what home pregnancy tests actually look for, it's nearly impossible (but not totally impossible) to get a false positive. False negatives occur relatively frequently, but if the test detects any pregnancy hormone in you at all, then chances are you are expecting! Congrats!

Did she look on the tests or only take one in each and every of her personal? right here interior the united kingdom HPT provide a positive previously you get one from the docs, they're a lot more advantageous responsive. With my 2d daughter I had a house try come decrease back posiitve so I went to the docs and theirs got here decrease back as a adverse yet I knew i replaced into pregnant and assured adequate a repeat docs try a week later shown it. when I fell pregnant this time the rfile did not even question me to take a try, I informed her I had 2 constructive residing house tests and she despatched of a reserving appointment for the clinical institution. good luck!

Yes, I would wait a few days and then test again. And try the "First Response" HPT. I personally think they work the best!!! Good Luck!

I would say you most likely are. Either call your doctor tomorrow for a blood test or wait a few days and take a home one again. Congrats
