I just want someone to make me feel better. Im worrying alot about going into premature labor because I did with my 3rd son. Now with my 3rd son I had him at 34 weeks, but starting at around 30 weeks I started noticing alot of pressure, and pain that I could hardly stand, and then at 33 weeks, my water began leaking and I had him a week later. Everything was fine and he didnt need any special treatment so I was happy. But now Im 25 weeks and Im already getting these feeling again and feel like there is no way I could make it full term. That is how I felt with the last pregnancy. . Its making me nervous and I have already talked to my doctor about it...I guess Im just wanting to know if there is anyone out there that has had a baby Earlier than 30 weeks or so, and everything ended up ok in the end? I know after 26 weeks babies have a great chance of surviving, but Im just worried. Please no rude answers. Thanks

My son was born at 27 weeks. He weighed just over 1kg. He was in hospital for 12 weeks and had to have major surgery at 3 weeks. Every day was a struggle. He is now nearly 6 and is no differant to any other kid (maybe just a bit smaller) He is very intelligent, and doesn't miss a trick. He still has the scars of numerous drips etc, but apart from that he has nothing else to show for being premmie. The way the medical world is now at 25 weeks your baby stands a really good chance of survival. It is a long battle, but well worth it in the end. And it makes your child just that little bit more special. Good luck and be brave!! One more thing if your doctor doesn't do it, suggest you get a steroid injection...it works wonders helping their lungs, and gives them a bit of a better start

My son was born at 29 weeks. He spent 10 weeks at Children's Hospital in Seattle. He came home exactly a week before his due date. He went to occupational therapy for a year and although most preemies have to go until they are 2 he was discharged after the first year. He turned 2 in Aug and he has no delays and he talks better than some other 2 year-olds that were full-term. He is right on track developmentally. My friend's daughter in law had a baby boy at 25 weeks the end of Sept, and although they were unsure at first how he would do he may be coming home from the hospital soon

Modern medicine is such a miracle these days, im sure your baby will be just fine.
Also your doctor knows what to expect and you have an advantage there. My mother had the same problem, they sewed her cervix closed so that she could carry my sister to term. in fact with every pregnancy (3) she had to take medication to keep from going into labour.

Pregnancy is always scary, you just want to be also to see them so you know they will be all right, right?

I recieved an email about a baby born at 24 weeks that survived, here is a link that I found on the internet

Do everything your doctor askes you to do. Rest a lot and pray that it won't happen. Try to rest as much as possible. Be positive. Talk to your baby and ask him to help you cause you want the best for him, I did that with my son and it worked. Be positive, positive thoughts result in positive things. I've seen premature babies and they are just fine, one of them is in high school already. Be positive and pray to God. You'll be fine. Good luck and God bless you both.

I even have a number of acquaintances that have been untimely, considered one of them is a 365 days older than me and taller than i'm, and the tallest one in his relatives. i might say i'm the final top for my age. yet another of my acquaintances became into 2 months untimely, and he or she is the same top as very almost all of us i understand of her age. additionally, maximum human beings end transforming into around age 14 or 15, so there's a honest possibility which you would be caught as much as something of your age group quickly sufficient.
