They are entertaining.

They provide simple answers.

They make some people feel good about themselves
and their big C-onservative attitudes.

They provide a sense of belonging to the same group of
people.

They belittle the attitudes of those whom the same people
have an instinctive dislike.

In a word, demagogues?

I think of it as the "pro" wrestlin' of news/commentary.

Because they provide their audience with the truth. I don't really like Bill O'rielly or Rush Limbaugh though. They do not give into the politically correct crap. They are not afraid to tell it how it is. The main stream media seems to leave out a lot of details and report just what they want us to hear, which tends to be very libberally biased and very Politically correct. The conservative talk shows, tend to just tell it how it is and they don't care who they offend to an extent. Like they will Say Merry Christmas instead of Happy Holidays, they don't care if it pisses off some crazy athiest. But they won't be downright offensive by using racial or ethnic slurs.

I think that most Americans are sick and tired of the political correct crap. We are sick of the troops being dragged through the mud, for protecting our freedoms. We are sick of not getting the whole truth, because it might go against someone's agenda. I don't always agree with what these guys say, but they can back up where they get their information from. They report the facts. They are not all die hard Republicans either, and they are not all 100% behind President Bush (Maybe Limbaugh is). So that helps me to trust them. They tend to point out the bad in both parties, not just the Democrats. That is what we need.

I believe they appeal to people that can't really think for themselves and need people like them to show them the way ,so to speak! Small minded people can't help it . they just can't seem to see things clearly without the help of those they perceive to be almost Devinne ! What a shame! There is so much more out there if you only take the time to look!
