Hi. A torrent is a download program that connects you with many PCs at once to speed the download process. It starts out slow and as it finds more and more PCs with the data you are looking for the download speeds up, and becomes a 'torrent' of data.

A torrent is a file that points a BitTorrent program to where the files are located. I'd recommend using uTorrent for all your torrent-ing needs.

there are also computer related torrents called Bit-Torrents which has to do the peer-2-peer programs like (Limeware)and their engines.
If you are referring to torrent files... well your better off not using them and just deleting them. The use of them is very illegal

Bittorrent is a method of distributing files from computer to computer. The most common is file-server (you download from a website), but bittorrent uses peer-2-peer distribution. Which makes it very efficient for large and popular files.

Torrent files are used by bittorent enabled applications. The torrent file contains information on the file to download and where to find other peers to download from. To use torrents, get a bittorrent application like utorrent (http://www.utorrent.com/) and Azureus.
