Pepsi and zhag you should educate yourself. Our Ontario weather warnings always tell us that severe thunderstorms can spawn tornados. Yes we've had them in Ontario, but not many. We get lots of warning. Blank, you can go in the basement if you're scared during a severe storm, or go into a small inner room, like a downstairs bathroom or stairway.

Tornaodes do happen there. WE have had our fair share of tornados in Metro Detroit, so its good to be aware, but fearing them is the worst thing to do.

As long as you dont see a rotating wall cloud with a tail sticking out of it, you have nothimng to worry about. Also, dont worry just because you may be under a tornado watch. Just be aware like I said. You should worry when you see odd conditons occuring or NWS warns your local county for a tornado possibility.

research them, although they are rare there anything is possible (just look at the tornado in London). You should find out how to protect yourself if a tornado warning is issued this will help ease the fear but dont panic this is the worst thing you could do.

I used to be scared of thunderstorms, I used to live in Texas in a trailer with trees all around. I would leave and go to the hospital until the storm passed, but thunderstorms are truly a beautiful sight. Look pass the thunder and lightning, it's miraculous, pray while it ais going on.

Here's a scale used to rate the strength of thunderstorms.
If you read this link, you should see that T-4 proudces weak tornadoes and

i love the lightning, thunder, and the fragrance of the ozone. I fantastically like it at the same time as the lightning strikes close and one hears the thunder on the instantaneous with the flash. The porch is a favourite position for the duration of a rain or a typhoon.

since when do thunderstorms cause tornadoes? but don't worry about it because weather forcasters can usually predict tornadoes, it won't randomly hit you by surprise.
