I think it's too early for him to run too. I think when he does run, he'll be a great president. However, the time is not right for him now.

I feel the same way, as far as him running to soon. I would like to see more about where he stands on more political issues during the next few years....but at this point the more I see politically, the more I like. And as far as I'm concerned personally, I admire and like him very much. He appears to be extremely intelligent, honest, and authentic regarding his convictions. He also appears to be a genuine family man and has been openly sentimental about his challenging up bringing and love for his mother. He is fair minded and non judgmental on many so called, "liberal" issues, yet makes no apologies for his spiritual and religious beliefs, to which he is deeply committed. These are all qualities I admire very much. There is also something about him that makes me feel very "comfortable", for lack of a better word, when I listen to him speak or lecture. He has certain charisma. So I agree with you, I"ll be watching him too.

We know he has intelligence, maturity, grace, charm and a surprisingly balanced perception of the "great affairs" of the time. But what we are uninformed about is courage, the strength to take the politically inexpedient course because it is the right course. Does he have the courage to tell the power purchasers to get lost even when he faces uphill elections for the future? Can he hold and face down "corporate America" in the name of the "people?" What does "compromise" mean to Mr. Obama?
He is certainly among the most attractive of the countless candidates. Were he the candidate for the office in 08, he would have my vote as against any of the hard-jawed, narrow-eyes, thin-lipped, fast-dealers on the Republican side

I agree, he needs more experience. In any case it's very rare for a Senator to make a successful run for the Presidency. I think he might do better being on a ticket with someone else for 08, then making a run in 16.

The plain truth is that he is not qualified for the Office of President of the United States of American. Maybe in 10 years, if he stays clean, and learns the truth of Politics, he may be ready to try a run at the Office.

He can't do any worse. How much experience did Bush have? He owned a baseball team and was Governor of Texas for a couple of years. Obama even has a brain.

It might possibly help the Iraq situation if someone like Barak Obama was president.

Yes this is the right time. Chances are that he won't get the nomination, but he might get on the ticket as a VP candidate. If he does win the nomination, he'll be a strong candidate. He's certainly the most charismatic democrat these days.

Quite a name he has. It will help him with Democrats: Osama Barak Hussein Obama.
Cool!!!
HE WILL BE VICE PRESIDENT IN 2008. HILLARY WILL PICK HIM AS VP.
Unless he gets too ambitious and doesn't know " his place".
That would make Hillary very mad, and he would be "very sorry".

Sure, I think he would be a nice change from what we have now:) I know he's only been a senator for 2 years but if he has the capability, why stop him?
