I just saw this news story.
LONDON (AFP) - A long-awaited report into Princess Diana's death in a Paris car crash will confirm a French probe that it was an accident and refute theories of a plot by British intelligence.

The report by Lord John Stevens, the former Metropolitan Police commissioner, has concluded that Diana died in a traffic accident after her driver lost control of the car while drunk at the wheel, the leaks said Sunday.

Fleeing paparazzi photographers, Diana, 36, her boyfriend Dodi Fayed, 42, and their chauffeur Henri Paul, 41, were killed in a car crash in a Paris underpass in the early hours of August 31, 1997.

Now,will the conspiracy theorists believe this? I think we can lay this one to rest now.

I'm not surprised, people with real factual information still believe in these conspiracies no matter what? So, who had her murdered....the queen?

It was a terrible accident.I live in Paris and Saturday night is boy-racer time. The driving here is bad at the best of times but Saturdays are something else.
Henri Paul was driving very fast whilst under the influence of alcohol. These two things do not mix well together.

I agree with Orange. It was murder. They're going to keep on saying it was an accident (and not murder, no matter how much evidence they produce) so as not to make Prince Charles look worse than he already does.

As if they would dare to rule it a murder? I honestly think it was a murder but that would never be confirmed even if they had the evidence.

There will always be theories just like the JFK assassinations and Marilyn Monroe...was it murder or accidental overdose?, Is Elvis dead or alive, etc.
