Why is it that the profile for .Serial killers and paedophiles tends to be white middle age men. Is this a genetic thing .i'm from the UK so don't know about the rest of the world

dont know if you are white but i are. also in england you are right though in what you have said they are mostly white like the yorkshire ripper i knew him and never thought he would ever do that.also the black panther was from my town ,my god they should be shot not kept in jail living better than us.

Yes the observation for serial killers usually is between 25 and 35 yrs old. This is when they are usually in their prime and tend to kill more at that age. I'm not sure about the paedophiles as i honestly thought they were of different ages in males but i would have also thought there were a few female paedophiles out there as there are female serial killers.
Saying this though, there are not only white serial killers, there have been many of different race over the years, it just happens that the majority are white.

This profile is accurate for the U.S. However, this is the problem with statistics: most of the population in the U.S. are white, middle-aged, and men, so you'll find a lot of that specific sub-group here. (If you go to, say, China, I'm sure most of the serial killers there are Chinese.)
Also, American society is pretty outspoken and vigilant against serial killers and pedophiles, so when one is identified, he gets reported and profiled.
Insanity does have some genetic basis, so it is possible that such traits could be latent in the family members of these criminals... but environment and proper upbringing can make genetic traits practically disappear. But the compulsion for homicide and perversion is certainly not inherent to any one race, age, or gender.

I think you are missing some reports. I live in the USA, and many serial killers are white-not necessarily middle-aged. Many pedophiles are white, but more are Black and Hispanic. For some reason those who we see in the news are white and middle-aged. It could be that those shown a lot on TV are also priest.

There was another question similar to yours last week about the Pedophiles, and people were arguing that they were NOT all while males, but I don't know for sure.
As fas as the serial killers, I never thought about it, but I can't think of any that were black or Female or anything else other that white, but I can name 1 hispanic. (Richard Ramirez) he was known as the Night Stalker in Los Angeles, back around '84? '85?

That's their profile, it's not necessarily true or accurate, but the media sort of portrays it that way. Paedophiles and serial killers could be anyone, including normal looking people of any race.

I'm white, I wouldn't call you a racist. Don't care what color you are. You haven;t said anything racist yet....
In the U.S. there are plenty of black and hispanic molesters, we hear about white/black/hispanic ones on telly. Also, wanted posters are on the wall at the post offices, and there are plenty of black/hispanic faces on them, with allegations of sexual assault on minors.
I can't say too much about serial killers. I know it is common to hear that so-and-so was a loner, kept to themselves, etc. And I haven't seen much about any serial killers who aren't white. There was at least one chick. White lesbian namde Eileen Wuornos(sp). the movie called Monster was made about her.

Maybe we think at that point we are smart enough to get away with the sick things that pop into some of our heads. Yes it generally is white and middle age but i am only 32 so can't really tell you (yet?)

In South Africa most serial killers are Black men.!!!
So i guess it depends where you are from and the colour of the majority of the population.!!!

Serial killers are also extremely organised, highly intelligent and often schizophrenic. Don't know why they are usually middle aged white men though.
