It's amazing how much those French words sound like English words! However, in English it is spelled dining room. Dinning means making a great din, or a great noise, so a dinning room would be one where, for example, people pounded drums or something of that sort.

how funny, I think yahoo automatically translates everything into your default language, so you probably wrote dining room, family room, side dishes, and rice cakes in French, but it appears in English on my screen. Try changing your default to english maybe?
