I'm 16 and in the 10th grade. I really want to wear dresses to school, but I'm not sure what's considered "school appropriate". Nothing 5 inches above the knee,which isn't a problem with me 'cause i'n only 5'1.Any ideas?

Cute. That's all I have to say.
Weeeell not really.
Dresses are adorable, and if they're not super fancy (like made of silk, really embellished, sparkly, chiffony ect.) then they're easy to dress down with a tough jacket (especially if the dress is girly, and jersey dresses work best) and a pair of heel-less boots.
Or just throw a tank top or t-shirt over it and work it.
I highly doubt that you'll regret it next week...

If you don't feel confident wearing a dress to school, don't. Maybe you should wear a long shirt or tunic instead, but with leggings or skinny jeans. If there is something you really like about the dresses you would wear (i.e ruffles, flowy or sliky fabric...) try to find a nice shirt with this aspect. There isn't really away to overcome it. If u like the dress and it looks decent on ya, wear it. It seems lie you have the problem of not wanting to stand out TOO much? I feel that way too, ur not alone (: Im sorry i can't really help!

There are all different styles and lengths if you can't find a suitable dress then try looking at some skirts. Just dont get something to revealing. Most of them I think should be ok.

I think wearing dresses to school is fine! Just wear more casual dresses with a sweater, cropped jacket or jean jacket over them.

find appropriate skirts or dresses that fall to the knee or below the knee. your height shouldn't make that much difference. long flowy skirts are in fashion, especially in winter. there's plenty of cute dresses out there. hunt around, experiment, etc.
