I am looking for a reasonable-lengthed, school-appropriate, completley Spanish, poem.

Try "La Tortuga" (The turtle), by Pablo Neruda. It's a very well-known poem and Neruda is a very well-known poet. I recently read it for my Spanish class, and I understood it. You might need to look a couple words up, but you can understand it if you are familiar with the preterit tense and progressive tense (-ando, -iendo). It's one of the best poems that I've read.
