The marriage will be legal, but it wouldn't be right since she'd be forced to marry you. How exciting would that be?........You forced someone to accept your proposal and marry you!!! I would be totally turned off by the whole fact of the forcing thing!! Good luck and have fun!!!

Not sure what the significance of the star signs is, but no matter. Marriage is a contract, when you boil it down to its basics. The issue is whether or not you are coercing her to enforce that contract. If the gun is part of a threat then the marriage is voidable. If the gun is symbolic of something that means a lot to both of you, then go for it. Sounds as if it may be fun!

Edit: As I got one thumbs up, I take it that at least one other person has observed that the question makes no mention of threats! hehehehehe good question!

No contract taken under duress is valid in any state that I know of. Who is being threatened? If no one, then it's not duress. If either or both of you are, it's not worth the paper it's signed on.
