Who else besides me thinks that "One" is a better song than"Master of Puppets"? My friend Nick dissagrees, what do you think?

Master is better, but One is better when in concert due to the stage effects etc. One's video rocked but everything on puppets is Metallica's best

One is better. And since someone really blasted Metallica let me tell you how great they are. A few years ago I went to an outside concert at Sparta. The featured bands were Metallica, Korn, System of A Down, Power Man 5,000 and Kid Rock. At the time of the concert James had an accident (don't remember exactly what happened) anyway, he couldn't play that day. The other band members showed and performed some songs with the other performers AND told us to save our ticket stubs and later when James was able they would give us a FREE concert. I attended that free concert AND THEY ROCKED. It was worth waiting for.

I think "Master of Puppets" is better, that entire album was the last of the best of Metallica. Although still a great song, "One" is a little easier to listen to, and is probably liked more by those who aren't real hardcore metalheads. It did, however, allow them to become much more popular and therefore rich, and also began the downward spiral into bland metal.

Master of Puppets is better than One (and I agree with the guy who said, Four Horsemen is better than both)

My favorite Metallica song is "Disposable Heroes" but yes, "One" is a little better than "Master Of Puppets".

G'day Wolfrocker,

Thank you for your question.

While both are great songs, One is my favourite of the two. I loved the film clip.

Seasons greetings
