I was told that my parrot fish would get along with Angel fish and my silver fish. However, either the parrot or the silver fish ate both my angel fish because they weren't as fast. Anyone have any expericence with any of these types of fish? I want to get more fish but clearly Angel fish won't survive!

Sorry, they are silver dollar fish. And the parrot fish were bigger than all of them. Also, the tank is around 30 gallons

I would be surprised if the parrot cichlid was the culprit, as they are typically shy fish.
What do you mean by silver fish? I am not aware which fish you mean. Is it a cichlid? Is it a silver dollar fish? They are also known to be shy and docile.

Were your angelfish quite small in comparison to your other fish? Even docile fish can be expected to eat smaller fish :)

Anyway, if you can determine who was the culprit, then you can stock accordingly. Maybe get some more silver dollars? They are schools and should be in groups of 4+

What size is your tank? That will also determine what fish can go in your tank.

Edit: that tank is pretty small. You don't really have room for any other fish. Consider upgrading to something in the 70 gallon range.

Angelfish must be happy with Blood Parrot cichlids as long as they an analogous length. the two will probable eat guppies and different small fish. you would be able to desire to seek for larger community or semi-aggressive fish to pass with those as they'll advance to six" or greater. Ian
