You could've missed a period before you got pregnant, it happens all the time.

You probably skipped a period and ovulated a second time in novemeber.

Hormone levels in the blood are different with each pregnancy and with each woman. If they are telling you 5 weeks because of blood work, they will most likely take your blood again in a week and check the see that the levels are rising.

A transvaginal ultrasound will be ordered, if not insist on it, and find out exacly how far along you are. Its possible you're 9 weeks pregnant, but your levels would normally be really high, and an ultrasound would confirm it.

Just tell your doctor when you last had your period, and insist on an ultrasound and more blood work.

:)

You should be in the area of about eight weeks along, but if your cycle was messed up for some reason that doesn't necessarily have to be true.

If a five-week fetus showed up on, say, an ultrsound it is possible its a sign there's something wrong.

Is there any chance you have your dates wrong or that the first period you missed wasn't missed because of pregnancy, and you're really just not as far along as you think?

There is nothing wrong. You might want to discuss this with the doctor because on yahoo we dont have a PHD in anything and we are just here for support. I had my last period October 20 and I am seven weeks pregnant. Just came from the doctors today. Please talk to your doctor if you are concerned.
