They held "auditions" for casting for the Disney Channel's "Suite Life of Zack&Cody" and a few other Disney/Nickelodeon shows and we got a call back time, when we called back they told me that my daughter had a "great look and personality", which she is really good... so they want to see her again tonight, they then of course asked for current report card and for me to be financially prepared for whatever program she will need, since she has NO training...Help I have to know before I go!!

i tottally agree w/ the person above me.
what happened to your daughter happened to me too.
i TRIED to get into John Robert Powers, but, its ALOT of money, and not much comes out of it. &&& its better to find an AGENCY which wont charge you any money untill she actually gets a job. when she does 20 % of what she makes goes to the agency, 10% goes to you, and the rest goes into a private savings account untill she's 18.

good luck!
:D

JRP, VERY misleading. Our child went through a similar process. A VERY, HIGH PRESSURED meeting at the "call back" and we were not aware that this was a do or die, make your decision NOW or forfeit the opportunity.Put up LOTS of money (which we really didn't have at the time) and they'll have numerous opportunities to audition for more casting directors. Our child has already performed in lead theatre roles to rave reviews, yet not one casting director saw the potential. My advice, save your money, find a start with a local performing arts school if one exists in your community. You'll get a real sense of whether or not she is truly interested and you'll save money and support a local business that can probably use it.

John Robert powers is not and agency . They will tell you that after you pay anywhere from 1,000.00 to 5,000.00 that she will need head shots . they will tell you they cost another 1,000.00 . I'm and actor in North Carolina and you only have to have head shots made get your own agent . You should be set, pictures don't have to cost 1,000.00 of dollars and they also want you to have composites you don't need composites for acting . All you need is your business card which is your head shot . If and agency wants to charge you run . No agency is suppose to charge you . They only take 10 to 20 % of work that they get you . But stay as far away from John Robert Powers as possible . They promise you everything no one leaves there meeting with out being picked . only about 10 people and that's so you think they are for real. I have sat through one of the meetings . Have acted with another actress who went to the New York meeting to meet the agents . When they tell you the trip is paid for sure it is with the money that you give them up front . They don't tell you about the extra stuff you have to pay for . the extra night in the hotel . Then it come's to the 350 agents that you meet . She said every one of the agents she stood in front of had something smart to say she spent all that money to go there not one of the 350 agents picked her .
This should tell you more than you really want to know about this company . I just like to save other actors from wasting money like I did . Specially if you don't have it to start with .
But start by looking on the internet for the agencies in your town .
or you can be her personal manager .
All you need for a head shot is a very natural looking small amount of makeup black and white flim .
Then the stage name at the bottom and that's it then reproduce
the 8x11 and send them out to casting directors .Go to local auditions I have been scamed so many times it is not funny so when I took my daughter to this they wanted her so bad I told them if they wanted her they were going to pay her not the other way around .

Legitimate agents and managers take you on as a client because they are confident that you have the potential to actually work. If they are asking you to pay up front for anything other than a decent headshot you are being sold a "product" not a work opportunity. Go with a legitimate agency or manager that will accept payment after they accomplish the task of finding work for your daughter, not ask you for money up front to make your child work ready...
