well if she is your best friend, as a best friend you should tell her exactly what you wrote here in a very friendly way, and if she thinks you are her best friend she will understand and try to be better....

That's not new among best friends. Jealousy sparks once a guy, the class or attention & popularity is involved. Your friend has a competitive spirit. That is good but used the wrong way, it spells disaster and you might end up hating each other.

Your best friend is making a big deal out of the attention people are giving you. Why not to give her extra attention for the moment. Then show her how cool you handle things like being recognized for a good deed done or a perfect score in math.

i hope this helps...

You guys are both way too wrapped up in competing.

Get a grip, not everything is about how many people like you and how many people you beat.

You and your friend will have a lot more fun if you stop highlighting how much "better" you are than her.

Eventually no one will like you and your reputation will have "snob" on it in big black letters.

Try turning it into a friendly competition. If you care too much about winning then you'll be devestated when you lose. I used to be. Then I relaxed and now I have a lot more friends and my best friend and I can talk about important stuff.

Like shoes.

and boys.

and who's a skank and who's not (it's terrible I know...)

I don't want to be harsh, but you're focusing way too much on who can hit the high notes and who can't.

Best of luck at getting un-strung.

Do it like American Eagle--LIVE YOUR LIFE.

and have fun while doing it.

It's just a common symptoms of jeolousy!! Your best friend is not a true friend, friends are suppose to support each other, give encouragement and not criticise, they are suppose to always be there fo you when you need them!!! Try telling her all this, she really is one weird friend if she constanly remind you that she's better at everything. Do you really want this sort of people to be friends with!! She's a me a person and it's about time someone tell her exactly as it is!!

i have the same problem with my best friend and asked my other friends what they thought about hhim. What im going to end up doing is telling him the truth about what i think about him and if he dose not change probably not worth being my friend.

if she has that many jealousy issues you need to sit down and talk to her about it, or ditch her. and did you ever think about, when you asked people in your class who was better, they said you so that they wouldn't hurt your feelings?
