Ok, there is no exact thought on why deja vu occurs, but here is the prevailing theory. There are two types of memory, short term and long term. Everything that occurs in day to day life is stored in your short term memory, and eventually in long term. While the exact process is unknown, (and some even think EVERYTHING ends up in long term, your mind just cant retrieve it all) it is understood that there is a delay between an event occuring/being remembered in short term, and that memory moving to long term. This is where deja vu is believed to arise. As an event occurs, if it is immidiately stored to long term memory, you will simultaneosly feel as if it already happened. cause after all, passed events are stored in your long term memory. you cannot sense the difference between a truly past event or just an immidiately stored memory. Which, then, creates the creepy feeling that what is happening already occured.

well, if you're into "The Matrix" trilogy, they'll tell you that deja vu is caused by a glitch in the system. However, in real life, I have a theory that deja vu is associative response triggered by your brain, that links certain memories in order to make them appear as though they've already happened. Usually, deja vu is triggered by a particular catalyst, sucha as a bird, and suddenly your brain makes the link to another event. The sensation can at times be a little strange. or even frightening, but it is just a normal part of life, so just go with the sensation! Hope That Helps!!! :)

I know for sure it is not memory problems because there have been places i have never ever ever ever been to in my life and somehow i feel like i know the place and not just around the house stuff like i thought i did something already, it happens once in a great while for me, but at my moms church they think that if you feel as though you have been somewhere before it is because your angel has been there. your angel looks just like you and it goes places. and people sometimes ask me if they have seen me somewhere before that i have never been to, so maybe they saw my angel or something. not for sure, sounds kinda strange but hope it gives you some ideas k. :)

Because you dream about what will happen in the future sometimes. You don't remember your dream but when it happens, you have deja-vu

It's all in your mind. If you pay too much attention to it, you're going to end up living your life in bits over and over again and not moving on. Laugh about it and go on with your life.

God bless you
