There're 2 types of Visas. The K-1 and K-3. The K-1 is used to ask U.S. government for permission for your girlfriend to come to the USA so you can get married. The K-3 is used if you marry her in the Philippines. The Major differences are that the K-1 is much quicker but she has much less rights. She's not allowed to work, go to school, etc. She must sit at home. Also, you must marry her in 1 month. K-3 takes longer but she has all rights as someone who has a green card. The forms are almost the same with a little difference. You can get the forms from Immigration or U.S. Embassy or State Department. The U.S. Embassy and State Department have websites. The forms you can download from the State Department website. The forms are usually I-129 or I-130, G-325A, and I-864.

P.S. K-1 usually takes from 6 weeks to 6months to get Fiancee Visa. The problem is when you get married in America and apply for green card for her. It can take 18 to 2 years. She can't work or go to school at this time. She can only sit at home. K-3 usually takes 18 months to 2 years to Relative Visa. But she gets her green card. She can work and go to school.

P.S.S. Have a baby at this time. If you are going to marry this lady then I'm expecting you want to have a family. I'm expecting my first kid at the end of January.

First of all you have to come to terms with the reality that you may never really know whether she loves you for you, loves you because you are what she imagines from what her culture has taught her is an American dream man who will sweep her off her feet and shower her with riches, or whether she is just using you to get to America in order to be "rich" and to get money to send home, both sacrificing herself by leaving her family and country, and actually becoming the rich American so she can finally win their love, by showing off for them with gold and fancy clothes and giving out gifts and money, as if that will bring her the love she craves from her dysfunctional family.

If you're OK with that, then you'll have to make a visit the the PH, as per the requirements, ask her to marry you, and upon your return file the I-129F petition for alien fiancee with the USCIS in the US. And then WAIT for at least 11 months, if not 12 or more, for the petition to go through, her trip to Manila for medical exam and interview at the US Embassy: Manila, and more waiting for her passport to be returned to her with her US Visa stamp on it, allowing to the finally fly to the US, where in the next few months you have to get married, file more papers, go for another interview in about 6 months, and wait a total of three years before she applies for her 10 year Permanent Resident Card.

Whatever you do, don't risk having a baby during that time, for any reason. Have her go on birth control pills before you arrive if possible, or use condoms religiously.

first of give a little time to fall in love, that time cannot be judged by me or anyone except the two of you. after you fall in love, and have met in person, get engaged to be married, fiancee visa or spousal visa are the most likely options for someone you love/care about who is not an immediate relative of yours already. the other visa options are student,(hard to get unless she's rich/rocket scientist already) or work visa(also hard to get must have really high skills and education. the fact is you must have a visa issued by the U.S. to enter the U.S. if you are from most countries, i think canada may be the only exception. and visas for filippinas are hard work to get, some make it their job to get one, and lie cheat and steal to get it(just based on answers i've seen on here and personal friends advice,) I am going thru the visa process now with my fiancee she is philippina, so this is my first hand advice to you. overall if you started the paper work as soon as you got engaged(after having met her in person) it would take a minimum of 6-9 months to get her a visa and maybe a month or two extra for travel and such. good luck buddy.

I agree with Dave Star, better to live in the Philippines. It will all be much easier, and the country is nicer.

Contact the US Embassy in Manilla for all possible options.

Marriage is the best way for her to come and live with you in the States. Again, contact the embassy for an immigration lawyer for all options.

Be sure that she really loves you and not your citizenship! Dont show off too much money ! It is very common that Americans are just used for the American dream!
After proving that then petition her as your fiancee. Go to the US Embassy!
