I dont know which angle to use,,,for example on this problem: four forces are acting on a hot-air balloon: F1=2280.0 N up, F2=2250.0 N down, F3= 85.0 N west and F4= 12.0 N east. What is the precise direction of the net external force on the balloon. The answer should be about 23.3 degrees above West,,,,,please show me how to do this problem...thanks!!

Net up-down = 2280 - 2250 = 30 up
Net east-west = 12 - 85 = -73 east = 73 west

Total = sqrt(30^2+73^2), arctan (30/73) = 79.924N, 22.34degrees
