Does anyone know or have experience with IUD's like Mirena?

I am going to get one put in on Wednesday morning. I was just wondering if anyone had any bad experiences with it.

I have the Mirena. I didn't have any pain getting it put in. I have had it for 6 months. My only issue with it is spotting off and on. I haven't had a real period since i got it, which is OK by me.
