If you do the math, after paying their fee. You really never save any money. All you get is a cabinet full of peanut butter you will never use.

No but I have thought about the fact that if I want to buy items in bulk that they sell, I can't do it unless I pay the annual fee. It's not like we're going in there with a choice. Wal-Mart is taking over....get used to it ;)

Yes, I have thought about that. But due to the amount of groceries I buy, and the occasional catering jobs I get, its a savings in the long run. At first I was reluctant to get a membership, and only used the coupons for a one time visit that came in the mail, but they didn't come often enough. So, yes, I realize it, but it saves me lots of money thru the year.

90% of my Sam's club purchases are gas. Considering how much lower their cost is per gallon, and the amount we drive, we save quite a bit over the coarse of a year. If you have a problem with it, don't go there. This is a free country which means that they can run their business as they want, and you have the freedom to not go to them.

Everymonth I get a coupon from Sams Club and I use it but I never buy their membership....its a free pass and I go when i need to buy something in bulk....there is a way to beat the system.

Sure, but if you know you are going to save money there, at least more than you pay for your annual fee, it works to your favor. Who cares, as long as you come out ahead.

are you aware that you can go to sams club at any time and say you are completely unsatisfied with them and they will guive you your money back? Are you aware you save alot more then $40 for the cost of their membership? Are you aware that really it's ment more for businesses/restaurants then consumers so the savings pile up?

Yeah. I don't join Sam's unless I have to buy something they have and it's cheap enough to make up the $35 entry fee and still be cheaper than other places.
