According the link below they represent the Old & the New Testament. But I'm a bit unsure you should give live doves as a gift unless you know they will be well cared for.

White doves, usually meaning domesticated Rock Pigeons, are a traditional Christian and Jewish symbol of love and peace. According to the biblical story, a dove was released by Noah after the flood in order to find land; it came back carrying an olive branch, telling Noah that, somewhere, there was land. A dove with an olive branch has since then come to symbolize peace. In Christian iconography, a dove also symbolizes the Holy Spirit, in reference to Matthew 3:16 and Luke 3:22 where the Holy Spirit appeared as a dove at the Baptism of Jesus.

I believe they represent love, but I would be sure whoever you'd be getting them for is ready to take care of them before you go and surprise them with them as a gift.

yes, turtledoves represent love and constancy. Supposedly they mate for life and are very faithful to their partners (not sure if this holds up in the real world, but that's the tradition). That's why they come in pairs.

Love.

Are you going for the whole "12 Days of Christmas" theme with the gift?

Maybe you should just go straight for the " 5 GOOOOOOLD Rings"

Sorry...silly answer.
