Since the average lifespan is 70 years would it not be 35?
For me middle age probably is 25.

good question, but what else would you have them be called, 'old farts' ?
I think that is is just a nice way of saying you're not too old yet.

Well I am a 25 year old female and I belive that middle age is when you hit THIRTY! only five more years of being young! lol; I consider men in their fifties to be old; I think it's the way they live their life!
Their are some sexy 50 year old men who live life to the fullest and look awesome by keeping in shape! Then there are some 30 year old men who LOOK and ACT like they are 60. Depends on the man I guess

I thought the average lifespan was like 80 here in the U.S. I keep thinking I'm gonna die before I'm 25 so when I was 13 and thinking I was going through a midlife crisis, who knows, I could have been right.

Your right. I'm 49 and will be considered lucky to live another 21 years. My oldest daughter is 23 and it seems like she was just born 5 years ago. I'm not kidding about that. Time is flying by. Seems like Christmas was just 2 months ago. I guess before I know it I will be down for a dirt nap.

Actually you are not correct, exactly. It goes like this. If someone lives to age 50 without any significant health issues like cancer or heart disease, their life expectancy is now 100. So..age 50 would be right smack in the middle.
as for me, well, I'm going to live to be around 125!
