craigslist.org is free and has a lot of listings, but I found westsiderentals.com (you have to pay a one time fee for like 90 days access) to be extremely helpful. It had very extensive listings. You may be able to buy someone else's login name and password (on ebay, for example) for westsiderentals.com if you don't want to pay the full fee. If they've already found a place to live, they have no further use for their membership.

Craigslist.org, is the best place I think, then check out the Los Angeles Times Newspaper classifieds, I dont suggest westside rentals It seems alot of people have trouble with them. You need to check it out though first, I have lived here in Los Angeles for years and almost all apartments have cockroaches! and some mice as well, alot of slumlords here too. Stay far clear of Landmark Equity and Healstone!!!

Try forrent.com or latimes.com in the real estate section. Also do a search for property management companies in the cities you are interested in. The cheaper the rent the crappy the area though so just beware of that. Good luck!

analyzing this made me chuckle. thank you. I even have lived right here for terribly practically my entire existence and... a million) by no potential been shot 2) by no potential been shot at 3) by no potential lost all of us to crime/violence 4) by no potential been a sufferer of crime/violence 5) don't understand all of us injured in any form of violent crime. l. a. isn't that frightening in any respect. The westside of l. a. is fairly very secure. once you get on the eastside, it has a tendency to be a sprint extra shady. in spite of the area which you're in, use trouble-free experience. don't be questioning the streets by myself at previous due hours, do no longer look as in case you're lost, save pepper spray on you, etc. so some distance as i understand, the vast majority of condominium complexes have not got secruity guards there 24/7 and in case you like one with secruity there each and all of the time, it somewhat is going to likely be interior the extra upscale condominium homes.

Liger said it best. Also any real estate agent can find you a rental.

If you're moving to Orange county, I can help.
