Just finished The Tenth Circle by Jodi Picoult and really enjoyed it.
My favorite is The Lovely Bones by Alice Sebold
The Secret Life of Bees by Sue Monk Kidd
Can you keep a Secret by Sophie Kinsella
They were all very good and could not put down.

While you don't say how old you are or what genre you enjoy most, my answers would be: any of the Harry Potter books, Patricia Cornwell's Kay Scarpetta (medical examiner) series which are mystery/crime books, Marley & Me by John Grogan (life and love with the world's worst dog - has been recommended to me personally by many different people I know), Bentley Little writes some great horror novels, for true crime I'd read stuff by Ann Rule, Dean Koontz writes pretty good novels that are interesting, like Intensity (which I read in one day, it was that good and kept me on the edge of my seat - I actually was reading it alone at home that day and had to go sit outside because it was really frightening!).

I like books with great well developed characters I can relate to.

Currently I am reading Slaughter House Five:

It is a 1969 novel by best-selling author Kurt Vonnegut. One of his most popular works and widely regarded as a classic; it combines science fiction elements with an analysis of the human condition from an uncommon perspective, using time travel as a plot device and the bombing of Dresden in World War II, the aftermath of which Vonnegut witnessed, as a starting point.

When the book was released, the bombing of Dresden was not widely known and was rarely discussed by veterans and historians. The book led to an increased awareness of the bombings and a reevaluation of the justifications given for aerial bombing of cities by the Allies during the war.

Here are some others:

1. A Brief History of Everything by Ken Wilber
2. The Language of God by Francis S. Collins
3. The Shape Shifter by Tony Hillerman
4. Tony Hillerman's Navajoland: Hideouts, Haunts, and Havens in the Joe Leaphorn and Jim Chee Mysteries by Laurance Linford and Tony Hillerman

Try Twilight by Stephanie Meyer-- It is one book that really keeps a person hooked. The secret life of bees, though slow at times. I would also recommend any book written by Sarah Dessen--> The Truth About Forever is especially fantastic! But of coarse, you can always go back to the basics of Pride and Prejudice, Treasure Island, or Animal Farm- some of my all-time favorites.

The best one I've read recently was "The Other Woman" by Jane Green. It's not what you think! I was interested from start to finish, and I'm not much of a reader.

I read an awesome book for my sign language class. I had to do a book report on it and it kept me reading and in suspense the whole time. It's called "Laurent Clerc: Story of his early years" by Cathryn Carroll. It's great. If you get it let me know what you think.
