I looked at the vans but thats all I could do is look even though it would be more pratical its not me so instead I got the Ford Eddie Bauer Explorer. I would really like my sports car but atleast I dont have the van. The PT Cruiser is hideous and not a focus fan either. I agree w/you totally.

It definitely takes a certain type to drive a mini van. I love my ford expedition and it has even more room than a mini van and it is high up so I feel safer. I understand why there are so many of them on the road. I would say being a young mom, don't drive a mini because of comfort because I don't think they are more comfortable from rental experience. I would stick to something a little more sporty if that is what you want, Tell your hubby I appreciate your input but I really feel strongly about not wanting a mini van. Mini Vans are ugly to me as well so are PT cruisers

Vans are pretty ugly. I only have one for convenience sake and when the two oldest are out of the house the van goes...even though I love how speedy it is and how great on gas it is and how awesome it is for traveling....it's still ugly.

To buy one for safety is just plain dumb....any vehicle can be dangerous or safe...it depends on the driver and driving conditions.

Until I was 28 I drove a Jeep Cherokee...not the "safest" vehicle but I loved it ...fit the kids, great for camping, etc...and it was not ugly!!! The only reason I got the van was because the Jeep got totalled (drunk turned in front of me) and the van worked out for our family of 4 kids.

If you love your 4 runner keep it....you have to drive it!!!

Mini-vans are perfectly fine and safe vehicles for certain people. I am like you, I ain't driving no mini-van. I would drive most anything, but I refuse to drive a 'STEPFORD" wife auto. Nope, give me my Tahoe anyday.

You keep your 4 runner, and tell Grandma and hubby, you might be a mother of two small children but you aren't driving a mini-van. They could lead to other things like-going out the house in curls in your hair, wearing knit pants instead of jeans, or more kids...lol

God bless us all...........

Ha. That is funny. I say heck keep the 4 Runner and forget about driving a "soccer mom" van... I have a gray 4 Runner and it is conviently safe for my 17 yr old sis and 10 yr old sister. It is a nice car. Tell your grandma and husband you refuse to get one. Be at least fortunate you HAVE a nice car....

I guess you are the only one my husband said that he would never buy a van. Now we are adding one more to the family. He says to me we need a bigger car how bout a mini van you should have seen my look. Even he has changed his mind. Its up to you though

There really isn't anything wrong with a mini van surely it is not one I would pick as my first choice. Heck I have one and I don't even complain.

Yes, minivans ARE ugly as hell. But you don't have to let the car you drive define your personality. If it's practical and affordable, then you can have one and laugh with everyone about it.
