Proof is the keyword in ANY court related problem. If you can prove he cheated on you, that will definatly help. If you can prove the girlfriend got you fired (hard to do, but possible) that will help more in getting custody of the kids, but will also help. The final thing you'll have to prove is that he asked/told you to stay home instead of seeking a job. At this point, if you can prove the first and and the third (the second is just helpful) then you have a fair argument as to why he should pay you. Be sure to point out as a direct result of his actions, not yours, the divorce was warranted. Also, be sure to point out that you have financial burdens that were once shared and that since he has more earning power, he should be liable for alimony and child support.

Since alimony is very much in the discretion of the judge, there are several factors a judge considers when deciding whether to grant alimony. These differ from state to state, of course, but they usually involve things like the parties' relative ability to earn money, both now and in the future; their respective age and health; the length of the marriage; the kind of property involved, and the conduct of the parties. In general, about the only time a judge will award alimony in most states is where one spouse has been economically dependent on the other spouse for most of a lengthy marriage.

Alimony is tax deductible to the person who pays it, and included in the taxable income of the person who receives it. So it actually may benefit the both of you if your husband agrees to pay alimony. I would suggest that you talk to your husband about this.

Did you think that he cheated you maybe because he was not happy with you. He has to pay for the baby of course but not for you. If you are healthy woman find a job and don't expect to take percentage for nothing. Law is saying different but god is telling that you have to work to live not to expect to use somebody to live. Be brave and face your destiny.

The best advice anyone can give here is to hire yourself a lawyer.
These are LEGAL questions and your rather short brief about your circumstances does not give all of the details, and of course, it is only one side of the story.
Get a lawyer.

Depends on what state you live in some states don't award alimony. But usually you could get all kinds of money.

it really depends on the law of ur state...however u can get child support for the kids.in most states whatever was acquired during the marriage is suppose to be split..however,if u prove that he committed adultery u can get a big alimony settlement.it also depends on ur income if u qualify for alimony.but most definately u can get child support

sounds like you have a pretty good case. Hire a good attorney. You'll prob get spousal support as well as child support. I guess it depends on your state laws & the judge. Good luck!

We cannot answer such specific questions - the answers are 'probably'. You need to see a divorce attorney.
