To say that we fight terrorism and not fight the Janjaweed that are killing hundreds on a daily basis in Darfur is just BS. To me, those guys who are taking part in the genocide are bigger terrorists then Al Quaeda, Hezbollah, and all them other crackhead groups who want to destroy Israel and the U.S. If we had gone into Sudan to stop the Darfur genocide instead of Iraq, the world would have judged us a lot better. Sudan has supressed their people alot more than Iraq ever has. First, they killed Christians and Animists in the Sudanese Civil Wars, and now they're killing other muslims in Darfur just because they aren't Arab. But that's just my opinion. What do you think?

There is much more to the Darfu equation, which I can't summarily lay out here. It would be great to go in there and do something, but there exist complexities with the agreements entered into by the North and South and the outcome of the interpretation of the agreements. Additionally, it's more than just Arabs against non-arabs. Hopefully it can be worked out and the UN will continue to put pressure on the current leaders.

If the US had not chosen the war in Iraq, it could have used its superpower status to stop the conflicts in Darfur, and hundreds of thousands of lives would have been saved. America would have gained the respect of most Muslims in the world. The UN could have helped to keep the peace once it was established. This is just another example of the brilliant choices the Bush administration has made.

Either way we would be stuck in a muslim civil war. They do not want us there either! The muslims would not respect us for going in there, anymore than they respect us for going into Iraq.
Isn't it funny how muslims kill muslims, and still believe they are doing the bidding of Allah!

I think the US should stop starting wars and funding terrorist stats IE. Isreal for a while, then maybe the world would be a better place.
