Mathew is going to be my confirmation name, but the church said that it is ok to have the girl version of the name.

ADDED: I recommend Mattea, see the added part marked edit.

Maci (M.English) or Macee (M.French.) is the closest version, with Mattison or Madison being close, then Mathilda. (or any of the alternative spellings)

Edit: I really thought when I first saw the question, it was the masculine form of Athena, and I am still unsure.

You might try Mattea. I think that is how it is spelled. There is a singer with the surname Mattea, as in Kathy Mattea.
.
mah-TA-yah.

.
From the Aramaic, Matthew was eventually derived from aproximately Matta(gift) Yahu(God), and was Hellenized as Mattathias. The "Yodh" and the "He" were sort of a shortform of the YHVH, as there weren't vowels in Aramaic, and pronunciation of the tetragrammaton is forbidden. Thias was acceptable to the Hellenes as a name for God, because it was a cognate to Theos, which became Deus in Latin.

I do recommend Mattea, given the Yah was an acceptable name for God in some of the cultures.

I wish you well on your confirmation.

The real bible name for Mathew is Mateo....it is latin I believe. So my guess the feminine version would be Matea and Maty for short.
