The scores don't reflect it being a bad ball at all. One game was like 120 to 98, which is around average for a game even with the leather ball. I just think the players thought the ball looked too dorky (but didn't want to mention that). Just look at the other sports. Golfers keep upgrading their balls and clubs, baseball players are looking for that better bat and football games can use up to 40 balls in a game (which would slightly change the flight pattern of the ball play to play) plus tennis players and racers are always looking for better equipment too. If those other people can make adjustments with their new gear, the NBA can too.

Its a good idea since players have complained regarding their health (cutting fingers for example). For shooting FG and how it feels on the court, who cares, learn to play with it. But I definitely like the change back due to player safety.

Secondly, they should have tried the material of the ball (not necessarily the exact ball) down in the NBDL or Euroleague. They only did lab test which we know does not necessarily equates to real life.

At least he is man enough to admit his mistakes. Has our president Bush even manned up yet to admit we were WRONG to go into Iraq!?!? Hell no. I'm glad they're going back to the old real ball, too many players have complained about the new one and it's time for a change.

It wasn't a mistake to try something new. Besides, changing the ball didn't help the poor shooting percentages of most of the "pro" players in the NBA.

Yea he let this go way to long. none of the players liked the play an they made their opinions very public. He should have changed them back in the preseason. I dont care what stats say the players are the important ones

I dont see the problem with it. Guys have been complaining about it yet their scoring and ballhandling stat totals are exactly the same. Obviously Melo doesnt have a problem with it.

no it is a better decision because a player will have not always worry about precision there's is all that will be affecting the shot or and also pass
