I had this happen when I had my tonsils out cuz it hurt so much. I just wrote stuff on paper until my voice came back. But if there were no reason, I'd go to the hospital and drink a cup of hot cider!

If it was only temporary, I would take full advantage and enjoy not having to say anything. I'd keep a notebook and pen handy just in case, though. If it was permanent, I would be devastated.

I would freak out, then I would got to the doctors office with pen and paper in hand.

I felt like that in a dream once and it was very scary. I'd drive myself to the hospital, maybe.

Pretty much my usual routine! LOL. I'd get my sweetie up and out the door to work, I'd get ready for school and go.....Mind you, it would KILL me (almost) not to be able to talk, but I'd muddle through! And who knows what I might learn if I'd keep my yap shut??? :)

have a valid reason for not going into work... seriously... I don't know... that would really suck... I guess I would have to stock up on pens and paper.
