I think I may be mildly depressed. It started this past weekend, and when I'm at home, it hasn't stopped. It gets better when I'm at school, and I kind of forget about it, but once I get home, I feel sad all the time, and I don't know why!!! I've even stopped eating as much as I used to and I fear I'm becoming anorexic. I'm scared of what I'm doing to myself, yet I feel like there's nothing I can do!! Please help!

I have lots of friends, and I'm doing fine in school, so I don't think it's that

People always recommend "professionals". Psychologists are humans trying to make a living out of other people's problems.

What you need is to find things to distract your mind. In other words, a hobby. What do you enjoy doing? That just keeps you busy for a while.

If you truly feel empty is because you need something more than that, you need God. Pray to him and ask for his help. I've been that road too, I totally understand you.

God bless you.

Awww I really feel for you! I recently went through the same thing but what made me feel better was when I was with my boyfriend. I seeked professional help, well my parents made me. I went to this crazy house for a week and when I saw people who actually had it bad, it woke me up. It was good to let feelings and emotions out to a stranger because you know they won't judge or look at you different. I really think you should seek some kind of counseling.

It seems to me that it's your home that triggers the depression. Maybe you should go out more often, even if it's just for a ten minute walk to clear your head. But not eating enough is definitely trouble, if it persists then you really do need to see a doctor.

get some help and talk to your parents

you may be 'seasonally depressed" a lot of people become depressed during this time of the year, but 'lose' the depression after the winter season is over...

if you don't want to talk to professional help or parents, at least talk to a teacher or someone you trust (that is much older)

Being depressed is a serious illness. If you think you might be depressed see a doctor. Or at the very least explain it to someone who cares about you.

Definitely talk to your doctor. Some people are affected by the shorter days in winter. Maybe everything is fine in your life and this could be the cause.

Do you want to talk about it?
You can e-mail me.

If you do see a doctor don't take any anti-depression drugs.
Get some B-Vitamins.
Some times these things are biochemical and vitamins can help.
Or maybe it's just PMS.

Go see a professional. Schedule an appointment with your doctor. If you're seriously worried, I don't think strangers on Yahoo! answers can really help.
