Hee Hee! I thought I was the ONLY that thinks she is talentless. Obnixous.
The Real Story is: she is in Oprah's pocket. Anything Oprah touches turns to Gold! If Oprah likes someone she helps them!
Her show is produced by Oprah's Harpo Production Company.
Hopefully she has a short fuse and we will be rid of her.

I have noooooooo idea. It can't be her recipes because they are no better than any I have seen.
One reason may be that she goes to restaurants and gives them good or bad ratings. Like that guy Duncan Hines used to do.
Whole thing is ridiculous and I am tired of seeing her everywhere on the tube.
This is an addendum: After I submitted my reply, I read the others and I did not realize she was supported by Oprah. That is the reason right there. The total reason.

Rachel Ray knows how to cook... look at the programs on Food Network and you'll see why. Plus, she's got her own cooking books out, too.

I've tried watching this show a few times but theres nothing about it that excites me to watch it again. her voice turned me off the first time I watched her show and theres nothing insteresting about her or her show. thats my personal opinion about that show and I don't know anybody that watches it. I guess that didn't answer your question but atleast you're not the only one that feels this way about "Talentless Rachel Ray".

She has a catchy personality and she enjoys what she does, which makes other people enjoy it. People tune in to her to see what quirky thing she's going to say next. But as a so-called chef, she sucks. Her cookbooks are awful. Her shows are just something mindless to put on in the background when you don't feel like thinking to hard.

Jealous much? Since when does talent have anything to do with fame, last I heard Tom Cruise was the most powerful man in Hollywood and Brittany Spears was the biggest name in music. If it bugs you so much don't pay attention to the media. I haven't watched my T.V. in two years.

Rachel Ray has talent, your just mad she has 3 shows on the FOOD network and you don't.
Her talk show may suck, but her cooking shows and food critique are very informative.
