I recieved an evelope at work with a $50 gift card for the local mall. Everyone eles got a check but I was just hired in. Just wondering if this was normal and what everyone else is getting this year. Oh and we had a christmas party...which i didnt go to..lol

I feel that is very appropriate. I have a biz and I go by how long the employee has been with me, how loyal they are, and if I feel they will stay around. I give bonuses ranging from $10 for a brand new hire to approx $500 for my shift supervisor.
My Dad gives his workers $5000 every year.

my brother gets a 50 dollar gift card for thanksgiving and 50 dollar gift card for christmas every three months he gets a 500 hundred dollar bonus check

you are lucky you get something. We dont' get a bonus at my job but we get the week from christmas to new years off so I guess I can't complain. Just getting the gift card was actually nice of them since you just started they didn't have to give you anything.

I received a $50 gift certificate to use at a local town merchant and I work part-time.......full time employees receive $100.

you're fortunate to have received $50. On my job you have to be present on Christmas day to receive a $25 gift certificate to any participating Chamber of Commerce membership. with tight budget cuts we may not get anything this year.
