I use this actually to think and add comments that are quite funny and distract my mind at the same time before critical tasks. Do you feel the same way? And yes there is useful content on here as well

I do enjoy yahoo answers as a form of entertainment, information resource and stress relief. The wide variety of subjects offers me a buffet of different categories to pretend that I am an expert in.

I believe that this website has a question and answer for everyone. I'll admit, some of the time I spend pointing out ignorance and stupidity in others. Still, I have frequently offered advice that people are greatful for.

I love the points. I don't care if they have no value. I'd be just as happy if they gave out gold stars. To be honest, I just enjoy the idea of getting points for answering a question and getting a bonus if my answer is best. It may be a cheap thrill, but I still love it. My points have helped me to reach level 3. I figure that makes me much wiser than a level 1 (dumbass) or level 2 (smartass).

There are two big downsides to yahoo answers. First, not everyone is bright enough to click "Check Spelling" before they post something. If you aren't smart enough to click the button, you aren't smart enough to spell any of the words correctly.

The second downside is that sometimes people will write an answer that seems to go on forever. Although they take up paragraph after paragraph, I've never seen a single answer that couldn't have been summed up into a brief and less wordy format. I don't know if people believe that typing up a three page response will improve their chance of getting the best answer bonus or if they believe that they look smarter because they can rant longer. Either way, I find the long, drawn out answers to be a drag and I wish they would limit the amount of space people can use for their response.

To sum up, yes, I believe that yahoo answers is a great website. It has provided me with hours of entertainment. I enjoy giving people a unique answer to a unique question. I love the point system. I think everyone should spell check and those people who leave long and stupid answers should be shot. After all, those long, drawn out answers only piss people off. Don't you think? I just hate it when people rant without actually getting to a point. Those people should stay off of the website because no one is actually impressed with anything they write.

I do enjoy this websight. It is fun giving out sarcastic answers to inane questions, and it can be cathartic when one wants to release their aggression on the world. I fear however, that too many people actually think that the non-professionals that give out historical misinformation, engage in kitchen psychology, quack medical advice, spew childish religious dogma etc., actually KNOW what they are talking about. That being said; it is lotsa' good ol' fun!

Yes, I agree. It's fun sometimes. And if you check out the jokes and riddles page, you're bound for a good chuckle. Yahoo! answers is great! And it's nice to have people reply to your questions so quickly. :)

Yes. This site makes me laugh, and I enjoy messing with the silly people. I do like to help the deserving, and it makes me feel good to be able to offer up whatever I know that can help someone.

Yes, it's fun and it works one's brain...but as I weed through I have to stumble upon questions and answers so full of hatred and bitterness and perversion that it makes me lose some faith in humanity.

Yahoo Answers is a disgrace.
It is just another attention-seeking wheeze to get people to look at their website.
Wake up.
