I learned this in college.
Dryers create a static charge.Socks with their peculiar shape, start electron transfers. The shape of socks added to the static charge and the electron transfers create tiny tears in the time-space continuum. The spinning dryer forces these tears to form a passageway into alternate universe.
Or you dropped one in the hallway.

I use to have the same problem until one day i thought up an solution, when I take my socks off and fold it just a little on the tips so it can get washed and I'll have a pair when it comes out the dryer

There is a far off planet. It's 900,000,000,000,000 light years away and on this planet there is a mountain of missing socks. Scientists believe this is where all the dryer socks go.

Lol sometime I feel the same way too but that's the way life goes. Socks are apart of Laundry and they get worn more than our clothes sometimes so to keep them smelling fresh we wash them with the rest of our clothes.

Mine usually disappeared in the washing machine way before reaching the dryer. They must be planning their escape for weeks in advance.

My mom told me they fly out the air vent on the outside of your house, but there's a cover over it inside your dryer...

It's the jockeys. They live under the ground and steal peoples socks.

It's the laundry gremlin at it again. He likes to steal socks...no idea why, but it never fails to happen.
