In order to leave the ones you love,
As a leaf falls from the tree,
There is no way to make it easy,
At least there isn't for me...
I feel I may be falling myself,
From the tree which gave me life,
I'm being pruned from the branches,
With a very dull, rusty knife.
My roots are trying to find new soil,
As my feet are planted in rock,
My shoes are frozen in a foot of snow,
Thank God for thermal socks!
As you head out, away from all you LOVE,
An adventure? Maybe a calling?
You may act tough, for about a week,
But after that you'll be balling!~
Say you love them, And give out hugs,
And promise you'll return,
Because the bridge that leads you back to Loved Ones,
Is one you should never Burn!

It depends on if I was leaving only for a little while; a long time; or forever.
Little while a simple goodbye and love ya; a long time same but add maybe a hug (not the touchy feely type of family) and forever lots of tears; hugs and goodbyes

I would never say so long because the people I love are always in my heart. I think what effect my actions will have on them. Some times I must hurt them but never willingly.

If they were children of Jesus Christ I'd say " see you up there"
If they were'nt I'd say" I hope you have a nice life". To both groups I'd say I'll miss you and mention something unique about them that makes them special to me.

I do not like good-bys. I would slip off as quietly and unobserved as possible. Not a good way, I know, but my way.
