What happened? Will you/have you been able to find forgiveness in your heart - or vice versa?

i stopped talking to my mother after she told my sister about a conversation between her and i about my sister, who is an alcoholic and drug user. my sister left a terrible message on my answering machine and i was pretty upset with my mom. i didn't talk to her for about 3 months and i kept thinking that this can't go on forever so i called her and we talked a little and she said she was sorry for telling my sister about our conversation. i know that she'll always take my sisters side so i will not discuss my sister with her again, it's not doing any good as she'll always be blind to what she does. i knew i couldn't live with myself if something happened to my mom while we weren't talking so i sucked it up and made it right.

estranged from my father from age 18 till he died 9 years later..he left us for his girlfriend and he decided to cut off all ties with us..i did have some what of a relationship with him for a few years after he left but that gradually ended..he made his choice as did we in the long run...as for forgiveness not from this end
