I am doing a research paper on the brain for English 11 (College Composition). The thesis statement has to be argumental. I'm for the brain, I guess you could say. I think it is so complex and amazing. I don't doubt or think it has any limits.

So is your counter arguement then that there are those that think the brain is tapped and has no further potential? You are for the brain how? Remember to direct all of your points back to your thesis, don't forget to put in your opinions on the subject.
The brain may not be a very good topic for a thesis, an informative paper yes but thats going to be one tough thesis paper.

You could make your last statement your argument. Take a position on what limits the brain has. There is a ton of research on the human mind concerning its abilities and limits (such as the minds inability to master certain nuances of language after a certain age or how much the brain is able to recover after a stroke). Just do some research on the elasticity (its ability to recover or "relearn" movements, thoughts, etc.) of the brain and argue the brains limits.

Really? Perhaps you want to learn to use their correct name then, brain tumors. Not sure how us writing a thesis statement will help you overcome the huge lack of knowledge you clearly have about the subject.

I think a good argument that could be given for the brain is if it is indeed the center of out thoughts, our soul, our spirit. Jung talked about the "ghost in the machine". Persue this idea !
